IHMRI Facilities and Services
Jointly funded by the University of Wollongong and NSW Government, IHMRI's state-of-the-art $30m headquarters were completed in 2010 and purpose-built to the highest international standards.
Designed to inspire researchers with an open design and service mix supporting IHMRI's vision of collaboration, the headquarters are built over four levels and include modern laboratories housing some of the most sensitive equipment for health and medical research in the country. The building also houses the only dedicated Clinical Research and Trials Unit in the region.
IHMRI's headquarters provide centralised services and shared facilities to over 200 affiliated laboratory, clinical and population health researchers who are either based in the building or using the facilities on a regular basis.
The facilities, and IHMRI researchers, are supported by technical and clinical services teams who facilitate the professional conduct of research studies and trials.
