Donors and Sponsors

IHMRI’s donors and sponsors provide much appreciated funds to enhance the research effort. Many individuals, community groups and organisations give generously to support health and medical research, with donations received from:

  • UOW Alumni
  • Mr Richard Miller
  • Twyfords
  • Panizzi Cafe (UOW staff and students)
  • Mr Michael Corban
  • Illawarra Cancer Carers
  • Kiama, Minnamurra and Gerringong Sunrise Rotary
  • The Robert East Memorial Fund
  • Southern Medical Day Care Centre
  • Gay Bates Memorial Foundation

Every sponsorship, contribution or donation can make a difference to the progress of IHMRI's research and the path to breakthroughs that can change peoples' lives. Many donors which to target their contributions to a particular area of research, in line with their interests and passion. In this way, they support discovery and improvements and are closely linked to the outcomes of their generosity. We take great care to ensure donations directly support the research of importance to our donors, to update donors on achievements and activities and to engage them in ways appropriate to their wishes.

Larger businesses and corporations get involved by sponsoring major research projects over an extended time. Sponsorship of health and medical research projects provides a very worthy way to demonstrate corporate social responsibility and engage staff, customers and clients in advancing health and wellbeing.

Donations to IHMRI or sponsorship of an IHMRI program directly supports our research activities.
