About the Research Network
The IHMRI Research Network represents a community of academic researchers, clinicians and other professionals with a common interest in advancing health and medical research in the Illawarra region.
The Network provides a structure to facilitate coordination of health and medical research conducted by multiple individuals across multiple organisations, and is modelled on a membership style organisation akin to a professional association. It supports sharing of information, connects individuals and organisations around common research interests, and facilitates collaborative research initiatives.
Categories of membership
Members
Individuals actively involved in, or wishing to become actively involved in, health and medical research may join as Members. Members may be academics, clinicians, allied health professionals, managers in health service organisations, or other professionals interested in linking into research discussion groups and collaborative health and medical research initiatives. (Research may be conducted in your own organisation or elsewhere.)
Collaborators (national or international)
Individuals who participate with IHMRI members in health and medical research initiatives, but whose primary research affiliation is with another University or Institute (i.e. not University of Wollongong or IHMRI) may join as Collaborators.
Associates
Individuals or organisations with an interest in the growth and development of health and medical research in the Illawarra region, but who are not actively involved in research, may join as Associates. Associates will be those seeking to be kept informed and wishing to connect with IHMRI and its network.
