Welcome to IHMRI

IHMRI is a health and medical research institute based on the University of Wollongong campus in the Illawarra Shoalhaven region of New South Wales. Our goal is to improve the health and wellbeing of Illawarra residents by developing a regional centre of excellence in health and medical research.

We do this by bringing academic and clinician researchers together to address regional health issues and work closely with our partners to ensure research findings are translated into improved clinical practice and health service delivery in the Illawarra and beyond.
