INVESTIGATOR INITIATED STUDIES
Meal Test Study
Volunteers are required to participate in a meal test study involving fibre, satiety and postprandial blood glucose control utilising a novel legume food ingredient.
A double-blinded, randomised control crossover trial will be conducted consisting of three test meals over three separate half-day visits. Men and women (n=20) between 18-60 years old and a BMI between 20-30 kg/m2 will be included.
Smoking, food allergies and regular medication will be excluded from the study. For more information on how to help out, contact Eleanor Beck on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity Study
IHMRI researchers want to hear from local residents who experience headaches, nausea and other negative health symptoms after being exposed to electromagnetic energy (EMF) from mobile phones, base stations, Wi-Fi and smart meters. The researchers, from the Australian Centre for Electromagnetic Bioeffects (ACEBR), are seeking volunteers for a study which aims to understand the phenomenon known as Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS), where sufferers associate a range of health problems to EMF exposure.
People who have experienced symptoms for at least six months and report acute symptoms which develop and abate shortly after exposure to EMF are invited to help the researchers gather more solid evidence on the role of EMF exposure in the formation of their symptoms.
